Major Crime Team Investigating Shooting Death in Hermiston

The Umatilla-Morrow Major Crime Team is investigating a shooting death in Hermiston Tuesday morning.

Little information is being released by the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office including the age of the victim. The name will not be released until family is notified.

What is being released is that around 8:16 a.m. today, the Hermiston Police Department was called to a residence on the 300 block of East Francolin Avenue regarding an unresponsive male. HPD officers arrived at the scene and determined the victim had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

The district attorney’s office said there is “little information available concerning the motive or the identity of person(s) responsible for the shooting.”
