The Umatilla-Morrow Major Crimes Team is investigating an apparent homicide on Saturday in the Hermiston area.
According to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Oregon State Police troopers responded to the intersection of Lamb Road and Interstate 82 after a citizen reported that a pick-up truck was stopped on the road with a man inside needing medical attention.
When law enforcement arrived, they found the man was dead and had gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as Tracey Scott Medows, 29, of Hood River.
The Oregon State Police Crime Lab is also actively investigating the case. No other details were released.
This is the second homicide investigation currently being handled by the Umatilla-Morrow County Major Crimes Team within the past two weeks. A Hermiston man was found shot to death on June 9.
