One man was hurt and another was arrested for first-degree assault Sunday, Sept. 10, following an early morning dispute that resulted in a stabbing at an apartment complex.
According to the Hermiston Police Department, officers responded to a domestic disturbance reported at 3:15 a.m. Sunday at 365 E. Dogwood Ave. The dispute, police said, involved two men who shared an apartment at the location.
An unidentified 35-year-old victim was found with a stab wound in his lower abdomen. Officers applied a tourniquet to the wound while waiting for paramedics. He was then transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center. His current condition is unknown, as is the extent of his injuries.
Noe Jeronimo Aguilar, 31, was arrested for first-degree assault and transported to the Umatilla County Jail.
Police believe alcohol was involved in the incident.
