Maria Ramirez Orozco, longtime Stanfield and Hermiston resident, died on Jan. 21, 2020 in Hermiston at the age of 74.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1945 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Jose and Paula Ruiz Ramirez.
Maria was united in marriage to Miguel Orozco on April 17, 1963. She was a homemaker, raising her four children, Mike Jr., Martha, Rebecca and Alberto “Cheech.” Maria enjoyed her children and grandchildren, spending time with her friends, going to the casino and playing bingo. She loved cooking, reading and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Mike Orozco Jr; daughters, Martha and Rebecca; four grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Cheech; infant daughter, Maria Isela; and her parents.
Services were held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church.
Burial followed at the Hermiston Cemetery.
