Marianne Cecelia Bantle Schwartz died on June 21, 2018 in Hermiston with her family at her side at the age of 89.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1928 in Sheridan, Wyo. to Ray and Julia Kutcher Bantle.
She met and married the love of her life, Larry Schwartz, on Aug. 3, 1947. In their 69 years of marriage, they enjoyed their four children, five grandsons and eight great grandchildren. They lived in Montana early in their married life and enjoyed many years in Kennewick, Wash., where Marianne enjoyed gardening, walking, baking – but most of all her family. She had lived in Hermiston for the last 20 years.
Marianne is survived by their daughter, Pamela Friese (Tom); sons, Robert (CeSanne), Mark (Ruth) and Michael (Karen); grandsons, Jonathan Friese (Alison), Joseph Friese (Wendy), Timothy Schwartz (Natalie), David Schwartz (Holly), and Matthew Schwartz; and great grandchildren, Henry, Charlie and Evelyn Friese, and Jaxson, Brody, Cameron, Harper and Emmie Rose Schwartz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and grandchildren, Lisa and Todd Friese.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Sun Terrace for their tender care, patience, and support for her family. We would also like to thank Vange John Memorial Hospice for their compassionate care in her final days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
