Marie D.A. Marick of Irrigon died on March 3, 2020 in Richland, Wash. at the age of 63.
She was born on Dec. 11, 1956 in Hermiston to Wesley and Teresa Lopez Englert.
Marie was raised and attended schools in Hermiston and Colorado. After school, she lived most of her life in the Hermiston area until she married Nicholas “Nick” Marick on Sept. 3, 1998 in the Hells Canyon of Oregon. They have lived in Irrigon since.
Marie worked for the Laborers Union Local 121 for many years. She was a longtime member of the union and the Irrigon Moose Lodge #2486. Marie enjoyed rafting, cooking, playing cards and board games and most of all, time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Nick Marick, Irrigon; sons, Rick Shaver and his wife Lacee, Pendleton and Kenny Shaver, Culver; mother, Teresa Greiner, Broomfield, Colo.; brothers, John Englert and wife Donna, Allen Englert and Tony Englert, all of Colorado; sisters, Sherry Zimmerman and her husband Shad, Colorado and Linda Schultz, Hermiston; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie was preceded in death by her father and an infant son, Richard.
A fundraiser/memorial will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Irrigon Moose Lodge, 220 Third St. N.E.
