Martha Jane “Marty” Rock of Irrigon died on Dec. 10, 2019 in Richland, Wash. at the age of 85.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1934 in Compton, Calif. to Ida and James Mills.
She was the oldest of five children; she had three brothers (James, Red, and Mike) and one sister (Bobbye). Marty was married to Stanley Rock for 50 years and lived in Irrigon for the past 46 years.
Marty had four children, Sherry, Debra, Linda and Buddy; 10 grandchildren, Brandi, Sommer, Neal, Thomas, Daniel, Rebecca, Bethany, Zachary, Elijah and Noah; and 10 great grandchildren, Aliyah, Tucker, Neal, Ethan, Keirah, Ryan, Ryker, Austin, River and Quintin.
She was an avid camper (Camper granny) and loved being in the mountains. She enjoyed watching westerns and playing Words with Friends, and she was a marvelous cook. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019 at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
