Mary M. Kessel Roth of Stanfield died on March 10, 2013 in Hermiston at the age of 64.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1948 in Omak, Wash. Mary was raised in Sherman County and graduated from Sherman County High School. She later moved to Hermiston and went to work for JR Simplot. She started in the scale house and worked her way up to a purchasing manager when she retired in 2004.
Mary married Leroy Roth on June 14, 1994 in Las Vegas and they lived in Stanfield. She was a member of the Stanfield Moose Lodge. Mary enjoyed fishing, camping, (Mary and Leroy were camp hosts at Indian Lake) traveling, and playing pinochle and dominos.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Roth, Stanfield; sons, Robert Kessel Jr. and his wife, Kandi, Stanfield, Larry Kessel, Salem, and Ricky Kessel, Salem; daughter, Lori Kessel, Eugene; grandchildren, Zachary, Kadance, Brittany, Stephanie, Steven, Monica, Tina, and Crystal; and great grandchildren, Tasha, Issiah, Ricky, Shawna, Jamie, and Heather.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Frank Corpon.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2 p.m., at the Stanfield Moose Lodge, Stanfield.
