Mary Lois “Louise” McVicker died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her son’s home in Brush Prairie, Wash., at the age of 81.
She was born Dec. 18, 1931 at Palmyra, Ill., to, Walter White Sr. and Mary Francis Minerva (Draper) White.
Mary moved to Echo at the age of 12 and graduated from Echo High School in 1949. On Oct. 28, 1950 she married Cliva Clayton McVicker Jr. at the Echo Methodist Church in Echo. They lived in numerous locations in Oregon and Washington where Cliva worked at different paper mills, but they always called Echo home. Cliva died in 2006. Mary was a member of the Echo Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, sewing, camping, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Michael McVicker of Lacey, Wash., Patrick McVicker of Ferndale, Wash., Marcia Tharp of Marion, Mont., Cliva C. McVicker III of Fairview, and Dennis McVicker of Brush Prairie, Wash.; brother, Ronald White of Gresham; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Cliva C. McVicker Jr.; two brothers, Walter White Jr., and Robert White.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Echo Methodist Church. Burial followed at the Echo Cemetery.
