MCSD Considers Capital Construction Bond, Forms Community Committee

The Morrow County School District recently announced it formed a Community Bond Advisory Committee.

The committee includes 21 members from Boardman, Heppner, Lexington and Irrigon, who will discuss various options for submitting a potential capital construction bond to voters in May 2025.

Committee members include Zac Acock, Doris Brosnan, Luis Campos, Andrew Cemore, Pamela Cutsforth, Jose Duenas, Frances Glenn, Torrie Griggs, Brett Harrison, Jan Huddleston, Karla Jimenez, Angela Jones, Tia McNamee, Sue Oliver, Brandi Orem, Michelle Patton, Lisa Pratt, Madison Rosenbalm, George Shimer, Lisa Wedam and Gina Wilson.

The group initially met on Feb. 21 at the Morrow County School District office in Heppner. They will meet monthly through December at rotating venues. The committee will present recommendations to the MCSD Board of Directors in December.
