Michael P. Jeanes died on April 9, 2021 at his home in Umatilla at the age of 73.
He was born on June 18, 1947 in Wasco, Calif. to Henry and Dorethea Robertson Jeanes.
Mike served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1972. He spent most of his working years driving truck, including time with Cruz Trucking and Ducking Express.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, truck driving, and watching crime shows. He cherished spending time with his family, especially playing with his great nephews.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Traghon Jeanes; son-in-law, David Traghon; grandchildren, Gerico Sebastian Rodriguez and Kaleb Michael Rodriguez, Karisa Ashli Jeanes, Taylen Ella Rodriguez and Kingsley James Wagner; nephew, James Pooley; niece, Jolene Pooley; great nephews, Conner and Brayden Poole; niece, Shalena Myers; nephew, Sean Myers; great nephews, Liam Myers and Jonathan Myers; niece, Suellen Whitlock; nephew, Kris Whitlock; great nephew, Liam Whitlock; and great niece, Alexa Kestler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William “Bill” Mootry.
A private family celebration of life potluck gathering with military honors will be held.
