The band And And And will join Kelli Schaefer in the next Middle of Nowhere Sessions indie concert series performance at 8 p.m. at the Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla on Friday, Feb. 27.

And And And play modern rock with songs ranging from lo-fi garage pop to folksy ballads. Self-described as “everyday misfits who have a pretty interesting band” their performance style is earnest, intense, and occasionally off-kilter.

Headliner singer/songwriter Kelli Schaefer plays a style of rock music defined by passionate vocals and soul-searching lyrics. This is rock music that encourages deep concentration as much as it does a slow roll of the hips; pop music that leaves a bittersweet aftertaste; folk music meant for a dark nightclub instead of the local coffeehouse.

Middle of Nowhere Sessions was created in 2011 by Reggie Mace and Beth Rahn in Dayton, WA with the goal of strengthening the independent music scene in the Pacific Northwest. The original concerts and recording sessions took place at Mace Mead Works in Dayton, and a partnership with Gesa Power House Theatre now expands concert venue options to Walla Walla.

The doors open at 7 p.m. A beer and wine bar will be open in the Electric Lounge throughout the evening.

Tickets purchased in advance are $15 general admission; $10 for students. Tickets at the door are $18 general admission and $12 students.
