Michael Charles “Mike” Furlong of Hermiston died on Aug. 10, 2020 in Hermiston from dementia at the age of 77.
He was born on May 5, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Orrin “Buzz” and Roberta Sprangler Furlong.
Michael worked for Lamb Weston until he retired. He enjoyed biking around town on his special high handlebar bike, gym and church time. It got hard with his memory loss and he had to give up those activities. He enjoyed visits with family. In the last year he really suffered with the dementia, and with each small illness the dementia got worse.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara (Judd) Furlong, Hermiston; brother, Pat Furlong (Carol), Eugene; sister-in-law, Daphne Henderson and husband Shawn, Hermiston; brother-in-law, Carl Judd and his wife, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A private family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery.
