Michael Lee “Mike” Pearsall died on Jan. 23, 2022 at his home in Irrigon at the age of 78.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1943 in Coupeville, Wash. to Calvin Lester Pearsall and Claudine Lorena Furman Pearsall.
Mike was raised and attended school in Langley, Wash., graduating from Langley High School in the class of 1961. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1963 and served during Vietnam. Mike was a Green Beret in the special forces unit, where he received numerous medals and commendations. After his honorable discharge, he lived in South Carolina for several years, working in car sales until the 1970s when he moved to Irrigon. Mike worked in farming for a time before going to work in maintenance at the Irrigon Fish Hatchery.
He married Vivian Phillips on Sept. 13, 1994 in Elko, Nev. Mike retired in 2006. He was an animal lover who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, tinkering, bartering and trading stuff.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian; sons, Mike and Brad; brothers, Lorren, Richard and Bruce; step children, Brent, Brook and Bridgett; granddaughters, Gina, Tailor and Alexis; grandsons, Tanner and Ian; a great grandson, Jace; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a step son, Brandon Paradiso.
