More Snow
The city of Hermiston has spent more than $50,000 this winter clearing streets of snow.

More snow and sub-freezing temperatures are in the forecast this week in the Hermiston area, according to the National Weather Service.

Less than a half an inch of new snow is expected Monday morning before a brief one-day break on Tuesday before more snow falls on the area Wednesday. The weather service expects an inch of new snow to fall on Wednesday. Snow is in the forecast throughout the rest of the week, as well.

School classes, for the most part, resumed their normal schedules today, including Hermiston High School which was closed early Thursday after a water main broke and flooded parts of the building. Repairs were made and cleanup took place over the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to drop during the week with highs in the mid-20s and the overnight lows falling to around 11 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday night.
