According to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, several cooling stations have been established around the area until Friday, Aug. 18.
The Oregon Trail libraries will offer their stations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 444 N. Main St. in Heppner, 200 S. Main St. in Boardman and 490 NE. Main Ave. And the Ione Library District, 385 W. Second St. will open its station from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
All cooling centers will have bottled water, the Facebook post states.
The post also gives symptoms of heat illness and advises anyone experiencing headache, faintness, nausea and vomiting to seek immediate care.
