Narcisa De La Cruz of Hermiston died on Sept. 18, 2017 in Hermiston at the age of 89.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1927 in Mexico to Manuel Olivares and Petra Trevino.
She was raised in Mexico and married Celso De La Cruz on Dec. 31, 1958. They moved to Hermiston in 1976, where they have lived since. Narcisa worked as a trim line operator for J.R. Simplot until retiring in 1991. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, singing and, most of all, time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Celso De La Cruz, Hermiston; son, Eddie De La Cruz and his wife Gloria, San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Juanita Arellano and her husband Hector, Hermiston; grandchildren, Eddie Jr., Eloy, Alex, Jessica, Melissa, Alba, Kassandra and Hector Jr.; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery.
