The National Weather Service out of Pendleton has issued a wind advisory in effect now through 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Winds up to 40 to 50 mph are forecast with gusts up to 55 mph. The wind advisory is in effect in the Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Washington and the Foothills of the Blue Mountains of Washington.
The weather service warned that gusty winds could blow down tree limbs and power outages may result.
