National Weather Service Says This Week is Going to Be . . . HOT

This week will likely see the hottest temperatures of the year, according to the National Weather Service out of Pendleton.

Hermiston is forecast to be among the hottest spots in eastern Oregon with temperatures well above 100 expected for several consecutive days. The weather service issued a heat warning that is in effect beginning today through Friday. High temperatures could reach as high as 115 in parts of eastern Oregon.

Little relief will come during the overnight hours, according to the weather service. Low temperatures next week may struggle to fall below 70 degrees.
