Nell E. Bishop, former Hermiston resident, died on Nov. 15, 2016 at her home in Kennewick, Wash., at the age of 69.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1947 in Fredericksburg, Texas to DeForest and Vera Echardt Roberts. Nell was raised and attended schools in Lancaster, Calif.,, graduating from Antelope Valley High School. Nell was united in marriage to Myron “Mike” Bishop on Nov. 10, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nev. They lived in Hermiston from 1980 until 2002 where she had worked at the Lunch Box, Lamb Weston and Walmart. They later lived in Texas and Nevada, and back to Texas, before moving to Kennewick, Wash., in February of 2015 where they have lived since. Nell was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Hermiston.
She is survived by her husband: Mike Bishop; sons: Larry Walliser & Terry Walliser; daughter: Michelle Bishop; mother: Vera Buck; sister: Joe Ann Lenn; grandchildren: Jacob Walliser, Ryan Walliser, Kailey Castro, Derek Walliser, Matthew Walliser, Amanda Walliser, Aaron Felton & Brandon Felton; and 2 great granddaughters.
Nell was preceded in death by her father.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston.
A private burial will be at Wallula Cemetery, Wallula, Washington.
