Nick Demos

Nicholas P. “Nick” Demos of Hermiston died on July 21, 2023 at the age of 29 in an automobile accident on his way to a music festival featuring Willie Nelson, one of his favorite artists.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1993 in Hermiston to Heather Ellenberger Nestalhi and Bryon Demos.

He grew up in Hermiston and graduated in 2012 from Hermiston High School, where he was a dedicated athlete playing football and baseball.

After briefly attending college and working at Lamb Weston, he found his true passion as an electrician’s apprentice with IBEW 112. Nick was a hard worker who took great pride in being a part of the brotherhood. He looked forward to becoming a journeyman, as well as the opportunities and friendships that the union would provide.

When Nick wasn’t working, you could find him singing karaoke in town, riding his motorcycle, chasing deer on a mountain, or at a country music concert. Nick found great joy in meeting new people and didn’t consider anyone to be a stranger.

He is survived by his parents, Heather and Bryon; brother, Zachary Demos; sister-in-law, Karlee Demos; Grandma Kathy Wilson and Grandma Ellen Ellenberger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma Dianne Demos; Grandpa Nick Demos; and Grandpa Jerry Ellenberger.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
