There were no reported injuries in a recent fire in Irrigon.
Boardman Fire Rescue District, in cooperation with fire departments from Irrigon, Umatilla and Hermiston, responded to a structural fire at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17.
The fire, which happened on Patterson Ferry Road, was handled by 2 p.m., according to Marty Broadbent, Boardman Fire Rescue District fire marshal.
According to Broadbent, the fire took place at a 3,200-square-foot shop, and the cause was accidental.
Umatilla County Fire District #1 gave assistance in the form of a water tender, and a fire engine from Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District, as well as a water tender and fire engine from Irrigon Rural Fire Protection District.
