The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) is accepting public comments on an updated management plan for the Columbia Basin Wildlife Areas (Irrigon, Willow Creek, Coyote Springs, and Power City).

The plan is due for an update after it was first adopted more than 10 years ago.

ODFW staff are not recommending major changes to the plan, but members of the public are welcome to offer their suggestions and send any comments to  Jack.O.Vaughn@odfw.oregon.gov. The deadline to submit comments is Jan. 24.

The four wildlife areas total approximately 1,885 acres along the Columbia River. They provide an important landbase for the conservation and recreation of fish and wildlife within a highly privatized and altered landscape, especially fall and spring migrations of waterfowl and resident upland game bird production.
