A busy summer construction season is winding down in Eastern Oregon, but a few projects will soon be getting under way.
Among those include:
- Night paving on I-84 (Old Oregon Trail) between mileposts 184-188 begins mid-September.
- A five-week road closure with detour on OR 37 (Pendleton-Cold Springs Highway) begins mid-September to repair the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad.
- A one-week road closure with detour on I-84 Old Oregon Trail Frontage Road at milepost 239.45 begins Sept. 21.
Traffic impacts for these and other key transportation projects are listed below. The Oregon Department of Transportation is reminding motorists to watch for crews, equipment and flaggers, and be prepared to slow down or stop when you see those orange cones and construction signs.
