Oregon Department of Transportation officials will meet with local residents next week to get their input on updating the Oregon Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP).
The meeting will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Hermiston Fire Station No. 3, 78760 Westland Road. The TSAP, last updated in 2010, establishes goals, strategies and initiatives that address the core transportation safety challenges and opportunities facing Oregon.
The meeting will include an outline of the transportation safety planning process, an overview of transportation safety-related data and a discussion of statewide and local safety challenges and opportunities.
