The Oregon Department of Transportation will host a public open house meeting May 9 to provide information regarding ODOT’s U.S. 395 Emigrant Avenue ADA sidewalk ramp upgrade project.
The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center, located at 1601 Westgate. During the meeting representatives from ODOT and the city of Pendleton will be on hand to provide project information, hear your comments and answer questions.
Construction of the project is planned for 2019 along the Emigrant Avenue portion of the U.S. 395 couplet between S.W. Fifth Street and S.W. Ninth Street. The project will go to bid October 2018 with construction in 2019. Residents, businesses and travelers in the area can expect sidewalk and lane closures during construction, with pedestrian detours. ODOT says the end results will be a safer and more efficient transportation system for all users.
