The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host a public open house meeting on June 22 at 2 p.m. at Good Shepard Health Care System, Room CC-1, 610 NW 11th St., in Hermiston.

The meeting is being held to share information and hear comments regarding ODOT’s signal project on 11th Street at Elm and Orchard Avenues that will take place this summer.

The project will install traffic signals and make other safety improvements at the Elm Avenue and Orchard Avenue intersections along N.W. 11th Street.  Adding traffic signals to this busy section of 11th Street is a need identified by the city of Hermiston and ODOT to improve safety for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians in the area.

Current project information will be shared and attendees will have a chance to talk to the project team. Local resident, business owners and interested parties are encouraged to attend.
