Operation leads to 4 arrests in Irrigon

A joint operation between the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 1 in Irrigon eventually led to four arrests.

The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office in a press release on Wednesday, Nov. 8, reported the operation focused on one suspect, Dylan Ostrom, 27, who had a warrant and was a suspect in numerous crimes in Umatilla County.

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office detectives, deputies and parole and probation deputies located Ostrom in a residence on South First Street, Irrgion. He tried to run, according to the press release, “but was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.”

Ostrom was wanted for a parole violation for strangulation, fourth-degree assault and interfering with police. He remains without bail in the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton.

During the Nov. 1 operation, law enforcement arrested Michael Norman, 40, who had two warrants in Umatilla County.

Based on information following the arrests, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for the same location, recovered stolen items during the search, and arrested Michelene Cody, 45, and Christopher Nelson, 45, on warrants.

Nelson was issued citations for failing to appear and driving while suspended. Norman and Cody ended up in the Umatilla County Jail with a bail of $55,000 and $5,000, respectively.
