The Oregon DMV has had a data breech affecting 90 percent of Oregon driver’s license and ID card files.
If you have or have ever had an Oregon driver’s license or ID card, it is better to assume you may have been affected.
Federal law allows individuals to receive a free credit report every 12 months. You can request one online at www.annualcreditreport.com or by phone at 1-877-322-8228.
Check the reports for any activity you do not recognize. For more information you can also visit the Federal Trade Commission’s website on identity theft here.
