The Oregon East Symphony Youth Orchestra and Preludes Orchestra invite the public to a couple of free performances in May.
On Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m., the preparatory orchestras will perform their Spring Serenade concert at Vert Auditorium. The Preludes will start the evening under the direction of violinist Melinda Tovey. Then the Youth Orchestra will feature works by composers including Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and Elgar.
On Friday, May 10 at 5 p.m., the orchestras will perform their season finale at the Pendleton Farmers Market. For more information, call the symphony office at 541-276-0320.
