Oregon East Symphony is welcoming guest soloist Tomás Cotik for the spring concert Some Like It Scot! on Saturday, March 11 at the Vert Auditorium, 480 S.W. Dorion Ave. in Pendleton.
Cotik and OES will perform Argentinian tango composer Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. The namesake piece of the program is Mendelssohn’s Third Symphony, also known as his “Scottish Symphony.” Contemporary African-American composer and Leonard Bernstein Award recipient Jessie Montgomery will round out the program with Strum.
