The Oregon East Symphony will present the Winter Chamber Music Festival on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Vert Auditorium, 480 S.W Dorion Ave., in Pendleton.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of small ensembles performing chamber works, paired with wine and hors d’oeuvres.
The centerpiece of the festival will be the world premiere performance of a commissioned piece of music by Raven Chacon, who hails from the Navajo Nation. The performance will feature both symphony musicians and youth from the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
