The Amber Alert has been de-activated in Oregon for a 14-year-old Kennewick girl believed to have been abducted on Thursday by her boyfriend.

The suspect is identified as Edwardo Flores Rosales, 19, of Kennewick and has family in Oregon. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’9″, 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities believe the parties are no longer in Oregon.

Elizabeth Romero was last seen on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. as she left Phoenix High School in Kennewick for lunch and got into her boyfriend’s forest green Ford Escape sport utility vehicle with a temporary license tag in the window. She did not return to school and her mother contacted their police department later that afternoon to file a report. On Thursday, the girl’s mother received a text message from an unknown phone number from a person identifying herself as Elizabeth, stating she was headed to Mexico with her boyfriend. The mother asked the person on the phone to send a current photo of her but that was ignored.

A video released Thursday night shows the teen-age girl walking across the high school parking lot and getting into a green SUV. She was wearing a white top and dark pants and was carrying a backpack and pink purse.

Elizabeth Romero is described as a Hispanic female, 5’3″, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing white top and dark pants.

Kennewick Police Department advises Rosales is wanted for kidnapping and an arrest warrant was issued.
