Chapter 10 of the Oregon School Employees Association is offering two $500 scholarships to help those seeking to further their education.
One award is for a classified employee of the Hermiston School District who is a member of the union. The other is for a graduating high school senior who resides in the U.S. and has a family member or guardian that is a member of union’s Hermiston chapter.OSEA represents educational employees throughout Oregon. Chapter 10 is comprised of classified employees who work in supportive roles in the Hermiston School District. This includes campus monitors, classroom assistants, custodians, groundskeepers, home liaisons, library media assistants, maintenance and office staff, and speech language pathology assistants.Copies of the high school graduate application are available at the counseling and career center at Hermiston High School. Both are also available by sending a request via email to Michelle Kane of the scholarship committee at michelle.kane@hermistonsd.org. Submissions are due by April 20.
