Most people, at one time or another, find themselves trying to cope with physical pain. Maybe they fell and injured their back, suffered an injury in an auto accident or are simply feeling the effects of aging.

Whatever they case may be, Justin Kitchen is here to help. Kitchen, along with his wife, Christine, are the owners of Premier Physical Therapy at 252 E. Main St., in Hermiston. They first opened their doors on a part-time basis in March, expanded to full time in July, and on Tuesday held their official grand opening.

“We are so excited to have a new business in town,” said Kelly Sanders, an ambassador for the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce. “This is an exciting opportunity for Hermiston to have another physical therapy clinic.”

Kitchen is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received his doctorate in physical therapy from Eastern Washington University. He worked as a physical therapist in Milton-Freewater before opening his clinic in Hermiston.

“I’ve always wanted to open a place of my own,” he said.

Kitchen, who has been practicing as a physical therapist for three years, sees patients with a wide variety of injuries and ailments and specializes in neck and back pain.

“Those types of injuries are so prevalent,” he said. Kitchen said he spends a lot of one-on-one time with his patients during the rehabilitation.

“I work with them on the things they can’t do by themselves at home,” Kitchen said. “If someone hurts, we can make them better.”

Kitchen and his wife have three young children ages 5, 3 and 10 months old. For more information, call 541-701-0710.
