Cars, trucks, horses, floats, marching bands and more zig zagged their way through Hermiston Saturday evening during the parade that officially signals the start of Umatilla County Fair week.
Crowds lined the streets from Highland Avenue to downtown Hermiston to watch the parade that featured over 150 entries from all over the region.

Mother Nature refused to rain on the parade, instead waiting until well after the last piece of candy was thrown before making her presence felt with a short thunder storm in the evening.
The 2014 Umatilla County Fair will open its gates to the public on Tuesday morning for a week of fun, while the Farm-City Pro Rodeo gets under way on Wednesday.
This year’s fair entertainment will feature Uncle Kracker on Tuesday, the Oak Ridge Boys on Wednesday, Latino Night on Thursday, Foghat on Friday and Phil Vassar will wrap things up on Saturday.
Ground acts performing throughout each day include the Tangled Threads out of Portland. The group combines song, dance, tricks and more to entertain the entire family. Godfrey the Magician, known as the Magician’s Magician, will combine magic and comedy during his daily performances. Professor Bamboozle will present old-time variety act for fairgoers during the week.
