The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department is offering a film class for kids.
All equipment will be provided and each student will get the opportunity to work with DSLR cameras and shoot collaborative short films with classmates, gain knowledge in scriptwriting, storyboarding, proper lighting, sound operation, and editing.
There will be three four-session classes beginning in January. Participants can register for one month or all three. The classes meet on Tuesdays. The dates in January are Jan. 9, Jan. 16, Jan. 23 and Jan. 30.
In February, classes will be held on Feb. 6, Feb. 13, Feb. 20 and Feb. 27. In March the classses will meet on March 6, March 13, March 20 and March 27.
The cost is $50 for Hermiston residents and $63 for non-residents. For more information, call the parks department at 541-667-5018.
