The city of Hermiston is offering a nature camp in June for children ages 8-13.

The Nature Experience Camp will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 23-26 at the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge. Experts from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will teach campers about wildlife, water safety and lead them in environmental projects. Campers will meet each morning at the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center. From there, Hermiston Parks and Recreation staffers will take them to each location.

The cost is $50 for city residents and $63 for nonresidents. Space is limited. For more information, call the parks department at 541-667-5018.
