The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department and the Union Club are teaming up to host a New Year’s Eve celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The parks department will present a fireworks show and watermelon explosion on Festival Street at midnight. Festivities go until 12:30 a.m. On-street viewing is free of charge. For more information, call 541-667-5018.
The Union Club, 201 E. Main St., is hosting a Roaring ‘20s party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to “get your finest 1920s duds ready.” There will be a live band, drinks, food, dancing, and fireworks viewing. For more information, call 541-289-8299.
