Pat Earle of Irrigon Passes Away at 73

Marie Patricia “Pat” Earle of Irrigon died on Aug. 19, 2017 in Hermiston at the age of 73.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1943 in Carbondale, Pa. to John and Muriel Giblin.

She was raised and attended schools in Maryland. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Earle on Oct. 23, 1965 in Silver Springs, Md. They moved to Corvallis, and Pat earned her bachelor degree in microbiology. In 1967, they settled in the Hermiston area, where they have lived since. Along with raising their three children, Pat tended to the farm and livestock and delivered farm fresh eggs to several area vendors. She worked at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston from 1998 in the laundry department until she retired in 2009 in environmental services.

She enjoyed sewing, crafts, traveling, gardening and flowers. She loved to make special gifts for her family and friends. She was one of the pioneers in developing ARC in Eastern Oregon, where she served as president and as an officer for many years; was an active member of the Country Church; and had served on the Eastern Oregon Mental Health Board. She was very industrious with an unbelievable work ethic.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Earle, Irrigon; daughter, Camille Earle, Milwaukie; son, Clint Earle, Goleta, Calif.; sister, Jeanne Tester, Annapolis, Md.; and grandchildren, Luke, Annalise and Angelique.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Annette Earle.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Country Church, 32742 Diagonal Road, Hermiston.
