Patricia Marie “Patsy” Martinez died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at her home in Hermiston at the age of 60.
She was born March 18, 1953 at Pueblo, Colo., to Pete Medina and Candelaria Mary Aragon.
She was raised in Pueblo and graduated from high school there. On May 25, 1974, she married Edward “Ted” Martinez in Pueblo. Patsy moved to California for a short time, then moved to Metolius for eight years and finally to Hermiston. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants including the Pheasant Cafe and Ye Olde Pizza Shoppe. Patsy was a movie buff and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by husband, Ted Martinez of Hermiston; mother, Connie Herrera of Pueblo, Colo.; son, Ted Martinez of Portland; daughter, Alisha Martinez of Hermiston; brothers, Adam and Willie Herrera, both of Pueblo, Colo.; sister, Chrissy Herrera of Pueblo, Colo.; two granddaughters, Victoria and Vanessa Martinez, both of Hermiston.
She was preceded in death by her fther, Alfred Herrera; and a sister, Diane (Carlson) Herrera.
At her request, there will be no services held. Disposition was by cremation. A private family service will be held at a later date.
