The Pendleton Air Museum invites the public to their annual membership meeting and meet-and-greet event this Thursday, March 5 at Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery in Pendleton.
The event goes from 6 to 8 p.m. and includes a no-host dinner. Special guest, author David Dorfmeier, will make a 45-minute presentation on the expansion of the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1938 to 1944. It includes a detailed account of the air war in Europe, with references to his father’s experience during the Peenemunde raid of 1944 and subsequent treatment as a German POW.
