The Pendleton Department of Motor Vehicles office will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25-26, for repairs.
The office will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, and resume regular business hours. It is normally open from 9 a.m. to 5 pm. Monday through Friday, except Wednesdays when it opens at 10 a.m.
If you need a service that requires a visit to DMV in person during the Pendleton office closure, consider dropping by the Milton-Freewater or Hermiston office to see if there’s an opening for standby service.
The Pendleton office has been located at 1732 SW Court Ave. since January 2004.
More ways than ever to get DMV services
DMV is continuing to expand services and increase choices for Oregonians who need services – online, by appointment and with rising availability of standby service if you walk in.
Any time you need a DMV service, first check DMV2U.Oregon.gov to see if you can get what you need online. DMV has added over 20 services online in the past couple years at DMV2U, including:
- Renew your driver license, permit or ID card (some restrictions may apply).
- Replace your lost, stolen or damaged license, permit or ID card
- Change your address
- Make a payment if you received a DMV letter requesting additional funds
- Reprint a temporary license, permit or ID card, or a registration renewal receipt
- Order a copy of your driving record
- Order certain trip permits

Consider Real ID option next time you renew
If there is any chance you will travel by air in the future, consider getting the Real ID option with your license, permit or ID card. Starting in May 2023, you will need a Real ID-compliant form of identification at airport security checkpoints for all flights.
You will need to visit a DMV office in person to apply for your first Real ID card.
Learn more about the Real ID option and make your own checklist of documents you’ll need to qualify at Oregon.gov/RealID.
