An Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) adult in custody, Clinton Adams, died the evening of Feb. 14 in Pendleton.
Adams was incarcerated at Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution (EOCI). As with all in-custody deaths, the Oregon State Police have been notified, and the medical examiner will determine cause of death.
Adams entered DOC custody on Sept. 5, 2012, out of Washington County, with an earliest release date of January 5, 2022. Adams was 62.
The Oregon DOC is responsible for the care and custody of 14,700 individuals who are incarcerated in 14 institutions across the state.
EOCI is a multi-custody prison located in Pendleton that houses over 1,700 individuals.
