A Pendleton man was arrested Wednesday on several sexual assault charges.
The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason Glen Drake, age 41, from Pendleton. on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, and first-degree unlawful penetration.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives from the office, in partnership with the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office, have been working on the case after the victim’s mother reported that she suspected inappropriate contact between Drake, who is known her, and the victims, who are under 12 years of age.
UCSO Detectives Erik Palmer and Kacey Ward interviewed Jason Drake about the allegations, and then took him into custody without incident and lodged him in the Umatilla County Jail.
The sheriff’s office said more information would be released later.
