The Oregon State University Extension Service will offer ODA Private Pesticide Applicator Pre-Exam Training in February.
The free training session is designed to cover the key principles and knowledge needed to take either the private pesticide applicator exam or the laws and safety exam needed for a public or commercial license. The training session is not considered a complete comprehensive review. Self-study and thorough review of all ODA-recommended materials is strongly encouraged.
The training will take place on Feb. 10-11 at the Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center at 975 S.E. Columbia Drive in room 134 in Hermiston.
The schedule:
• Feb. 10 – Calculations Workshop, 9 to 11 a.m.
• Feb. 11 – General Review, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Feb. 11 – Pesticide Exam, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The review will start on Tuesday, with the “Calculations Workshop” for the math portions of the exam. A practice math worksheet is available for review prior to the session by request. On Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, a “General Review” will be offered. The exam will be offered after lunch on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. There is a $25 fee for each exam. Photo ID is required.
Payment should be made to the BMCC Hermiston office prior to Wednesday, Feb. 11.
