She was born on June 20, 1967 in Comala, Colima, Mexico to Jose Regino Cemas Aguilar and Mauricia Lopez Llerena. She was raised in Mexico until 1986 and settled in Hermiston in 1988, Petra married Javier Montes Carrillo on March 27, 1994 in Hermiston. She had worked as a quality technician at Calbee Foods for several years along with raising her children. Petra was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. She enjoyed shopping, her pets, and most of all cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her husband: Javier Montes, sons: Jesse Torres, Javier Montes Cemas; daughter: Yolanda Montes Cemas, all of Hermiston, OR; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston with the funeral mass to follow at 2:30 p.m.
