It was a dominant evening on the mat for Hermiston High School’s boys and girls wrestling programs in a home meet on December 9 against Southridge.
The boys team beat the Suns 68-4, with Brayden Harrison getting the win at 106 pounds, Drayson Lathim at 113, Mason Miracle at 120, Alexis Lujano at 126, Brayden Medelez at 132, Jayden Martinez at 138, Aaron Cobarrubia at 144, Aidan Larson at 150, Jacoby Rodriguez at 157, Jedidiah Golightly at 165, Luca Mazzoni at 175, Hayden Larson at 190, and Seth Reeve at 285.
Omar Diaz was the lone Southridge wrestler to record points in the match with his win over Malaqie Covarrubias.
The Hermiston girls eclipsed the Suns by a 70-12 margin in 3A Mid-Columbia Conference wrestling action.
The Bulldogs hit the mats again on December 16 against Sageview, with the Varsity starting at 7 p.m.
