A Pilot Rock man was flown to Kadlec Medical Center after a two-vehicle accident in Pendleton Thursday night.
According to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Pendleton resident Travis Hoeft, 27, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup when he crossed into the oncoming lane on Hoeft Road around 5 p.m. The Dodge pickup hit a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jack Mann, 49, of Pilot Rock.
The sheriff’s office said Mann was trapped in his truck after being struck head-on by Hoeft’s vehicle. Man was Lifeflighted to Kadlec and Hoeft was driven by ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital. The extent their injuries is unknown, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hoeft was cited for careless driving.
