The Hermiston Planning Commission will consider a request on Tuesday, July 8 for a variance on a city ordinance requiring buildings in a duplex residential zone to not occupy more than 35 percent of the lot area.
Rufugio Cardenas is making the request in order to build a 12-foot-by-35-foot carport attached to his home on Northeast Eighth Place.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Hermiston City Hall.
